Work Package 4 supports vocational education and training teachers in transforming knowledge about the European Union into practical, inclusive and engaging learning experiences for their students.

Building on the EUCLASS Training Programme developed in WP3(opens in new tab), participating teachers strengthen both their knowledge of EU-related topics and their ability to teach them effectively. Through online learning, international Summer Schools, peer exchange and collaborative workshops, teachers develop and test educational activities designed specifically for VET classrooms.

What happens in WP4?

WP4 brings together teachers and trainers from across partner organisations to:

• strengthen their knowledge of the European Union, its institutions, policies and values;
• explore participatory and non-formal teaching methodologies;
• exchange experiences and approaches across different countries and VET systems;
• design practical educational activities for VET learners;
• adapt materials to different vocational sectors, learning needs and classroom contexts;
• contribute to the EUCLASS Best Practices Portfolio.

The learning journey combines three interconnected elements:

Learn
Teachers develop their EU knowledge through the online training programme created in WP3.

Co-create
During the Summer Schools, participants work together to design lesson plans, activities and educational resources.

Test and improve
The resources are piloted with VET students in partner schools. Teachers then reflect on the results and refine their activities with colleagues from across Europe.
